DESCRIPTION:The conference “New Genomic Techniques (NGT): Unlocking the 
 Future of the Wine Industry”\, organized as part of the Shield4Grape pro
 ject by BSB - Burgundy School of Business and the GIP BOURGOGNE JURA VIGNE
  ET VIN\, took place on the 12th February at the OIV - Organisation Intern
 ationale de la Vigne et du Vin in Dijon.\n\nStill an emerging topic within
  the wine sector\, new breeding technologies are generating both strong in
 terest and important questions\, highlighting the need for further clarifi
 cation. The objective of this conference was to dedicate time to analysis 
 and knowledge-sharing around these technologies\, which are expected to pl
 ay a growing role in industry debates in the coming years. The event provi
 ded scientific\, economic\, and regulatory insights into the key issues as
 sociated with these innovations.\n\nOn the agenda:\n\n• An overview of w
 hat NGTs are\, the techniques involved\, the biotechnological approaches t
 hey rely on\, and their applications for developing new plant material in

  challenges among producing countries\, in a context marked by heterogeneo
 us international positions and intense debates at the European level\, ran
