Dr. Lara Agnoli, professor at the School of Wine at BSB, presented at the 2025 Pinot Noir Symposium held at St Cross College, Oxford, an ongoing study conducted within Shield4Grape, titled:
“Pinot Noir Producers Facing Biotechnology and Plant Innovation for Sustainability.”
The study explores how innovation and biotechnology are perceived and adopted by Pinot Noir producers in the face of sustainability challenges. It is carried out in collaboration with GIP PÔLE BOURGOGNE VIGNE ET VIN and CREA Ricerca, both key Shield4Grape partners.
The inclusion of this work with 100 participants, including researchers, producers and industry players highlights Shield4Grape’s commitment to sustainable viticulture and its role in bridging science, tradition, and the future of grape production.
