Our partner IMIDA participated at the 18th Congreso Nacional de Ciencias Hortícolas, in Valenica Spain sharing the latest progress from the SHIELD4GRAPE project. During their presentation, the team detailed how they are characterising powdery- and downy-mildew resistance in newly bred grapevine hybrids.
These hybrids were pre-selected with molecular markers that flag key resistance loci; IMIDA is now performing comprehensive laboratory and field evaluations to confirm (and quantify) their resilience.
