AgroMurcia 2025 was held on March 12 and 13 in Cartagena (Murcia, Spain) bringing together agricultural experts and researchers to discuss emerging phytosanitary risks in Mediterranean agriculture. The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among stakeholders, including scientists, farmers, and crop protection companies.
During the sessions, Leonor Ruiz García, researcher at IMIDA (Murcia, Spain) and partner of the Shield4Grape project, presented a poster showcasing results on the resistance levels of wine hybrids to Plasmopara viticola, a key pathogen affecting viticulture. These hybrids were developed as part of the Monastrell breeding program at IMIDA.
The discussions reinforced the critical role of collaboration between researchers, farmers, and crop protection product companies to design effective, integrated pest and disease strategies for sustainable agriculture.
