On May 5th, the Shield4Grape project took part in an afternoon of collective reflection organised in Épernay as a prelude to the annual meeting of the European project GrapeBreed4IPM EU Project, focusing on:
“New Genomic Techniques (NGTs): what promises and what questions do they hold for viticulture?”

The discussions addressed key scientific and regulatory challenges surrounding NGTs, as well as the way these technologies are being appropriated by stakeholders across the entire wine sector.

The Shield4Grape project was represented by Giorgio Gambino, project coordinator, and Florian Humbert, leader of Work Package 6.

Many thanks to Komlan Avia, coordinator of the GrapeBreed4IPM EU Project, and to Tatiana SVINARTCHUK and Camille Bénard for the organisation of the event.
