Shield4Grape project took part in the 2nd SIDEA-SIEA-CESET Conference in Florence, from 1 to 4 September 2026

This year’s SIDEA-SIEA-CESET Conference explored agricultural territories as increasingly complex mosaics of local systems, each with its own needs and constraints.

Our partners from CREA Ricerca and BSB – Burgundy School of Business presented “Biotecnologie e Tecniche di Evoluzione Assistita nella viticoltura europea: Approfondimenti dalle percezioni dei produttori vitivinicoli” [Biotechnology and Assisted Evolution Techniques in European viticulture: insights from winegrowers’ perceptions].

Drawing on survey data, their contribution explored how European winegrowers perceive and assess biotechnology and New Genomic Techniques, and what those views imply for adoption on the ground.
