Why do some recalcitrant grapevine varieties barely produce somatic embryos, yet convert them into plants with high efficiency — while others do the opposite?
The study, Somatic Embryogenesis and Embryo-to-Plant Conversion in Different Grapevine Genotypes: Two Different Bottlenecks for Plant Production, investigates the regeneration of fifteen European grapevine genotypes and hybrids, highlighting two distinct bottlenecks in the regeneration process.
